Mahesh Kalva
Mahesh Kalva is President and Chief Technology Officer of AI-Vets (ai-vets.com), having co-founded this company in March 2017 and solving hard business problems and providing Systems Integration for federal government with innovative technologies from Silicon Valley. Mr. Kalva had a distinguished career as senior vice president and CTO at Leidos Health, the #1 provider of health IT to the federal government.
Prior to his work at Leidos, Mr. Kalva was the CTO and senior executive in different organizations of Lockheed Martin since 1996. He played a central role in major strategic initiatives, including the launch of Health Care Technology Alliance, Big Data initiative, (CS)2– Comprehensive Cyber Security Solutions, LM’s Cloud Computing, CRM & BPO practice and also in the M&A of several companies. During his tenure as International CTO, Lockheed Martin was recognized not ​
only as an information systems and cyber security leader, a $10B business, within the United States government but also as an innovative information communications technology provider among the governments of Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and several Asian countries.
Mr. Kalva has been a Keynote speaker at various global events – CyberSpark, Israel, FutureGov, UK Police Forums, UK Justice Conference. Published various articles on CyberSecurity, Cloud, Big Data and Healthcare technologies. He led the shaping of UK Ministry of Justice - Systems Integration and Management (SIAM) a $200M contract and UK Metropolitan Police a $150M program. Designed and developed Lockheed Martins’ business case for Cloud; conceived, and executed SolaS® (Solutions-as-a-Service) Cloud strategy and deployed over 15 Cloud projects for customers worldwide.
Mr. Kalva has a master's degree in computer information systems from Southern New Hampshire University. He has completed leadership development courses at MIT Sloan Business School, Carnegie Mellon University, and attended graduate level courses in Business Administration at University of Pune. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry. A respected technologist, entrepreneur, and strategist in the federal Systems Integrator world, Mr. Kalva was awarded the Asian American Executive of the year in 2015, Cloud Architect of the year in 2012, and Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008. In 2014, he graduated from the Leadership Montgomery program, which brings together emerging leaders to make Montgomery County, MD, a better place to live and work.
