Jesse Cortez is a very experienced executive with a great passion for enabling organizational success through optimizing employees’ talents.  He has been dedicated to talent and diversity, fostering an inclusive environment for people and companies to succeed. He has extensive corporate experience in leadership talent acquisition, large scale diversity initiatives and working with non-profit organizations.

  • Currently the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at McKesson. Ranked 8th on the FORTUNE 500, McKesson is a global healthcare services and information technology company dedicated to making the business of healthcare run better.

  • Previously served as:

    • Global Inclusion leader for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In his role, he was responsible for the company’s efforts to accelerate inclusion in the workplace.

    • ‘Deputy’ Chief Diversity Officer for HP, charged with all aspects of I&D, including talent acquisition, talent management and retention.

    • Key employee with Accenture and Merritt, Hawkins & Associates.

  • Has significant expertise in providing a global perspective, governance and thought leadership while leveraging a data driven approach to diagnosing/prescribing innovative solutions.

  • Serves on the Board of Directors for the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) and the HITEC Foundation.

  • Previously served on the Advisory Board for Disability: IN (formerly the US Business Leadership Network) and Prospanica (formerly the National Society of Hispanic MBAs).

  • Recognized as HITEC member of the year and HITEC 100 multiple times, including a Hall of Fame induction.

  • Received a bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) and master’s degree in strategy from University of North Texas.  Additionally, he is pursuing a graduate certificate in corporate sustainability and innovation from Harvard University.
